Beautibus is the first mobile spa servicing neighborhoods and suburbs of DFW that pulls right into your driveway. We provide full facial and body waxing, tints, lash lifts, facial and body services.
My name is Ebony. I've been in the beauty industry for about a decade - from receptionist to manager to personal assisting salon owners to Esthetician. My skincare philosophy is that facials should not just be a birthday treat, but an every day priority. After all, it is your largest organ there to protect & regulate the rest of your internal organs. I believe in enhancing your natural beauty instead of depending on filters and fillers, a regimen you can understand, and a luxurious experience priced for everyday wellness.
I have to thank all of my clients for their loyalty and support, without you this would not exist. I also have to thank my husband for making this dream come to life...and building this with his own bare hands (he made me say that)! Also thanks for the help from The Bearded Lady mobile barber shop of Denton, TX and fellow estheticians for guidance and support.
Why can’t I schedule same day appointments?
All appointments booked online and approved must be at least 24 hours in advance. I have to adjust and map out my day while TDLR requires an itinerary 24 hours in advance.
What is the travel fee?
If you are outside of the area shown on the homepage, there is a travel $20 fee upon approval. This covers cost of extra blocked time, gas and tolls.
How far are you willing to drive?
Although I am all over DFW, you may see that I can be outside of that area during parties and events at an extra cost. Please contact me directly to discuss travel.
What is the cancellation fee?
There is a $40 cancellation fee for same day cancellations or no shows. This is agreed to and submitted by you when you submit your card information at booking.
Why aren’t you open every day?
I am a wife and mother first, and own two small businesses. I also attend classes when I can to stay up to date and educated on new services.
Can you come to my apartment or work?
As long as a gate code and parking spot is available this can be achieved. Due to the hanging clearance, I cannot park inside of a parking garage or carport. If there is not a public parking spot you may have to walk to the office or street. The bus is also powered by a generator which may sound like a soft lawn mower so I tend to park farther out to not disturb surrounding businesses.
Why aren't you servicing male clients?
For the safety of the client and myself, it is best not to put anyone in one-on-one, uncomfortable or misinterpreted situations. I do take male clients during events, or by current client referral.
Can I bring my friends/boyfriend?
For safety precautions, groups must be scheduled as a private party, although anyone under the age of 18 must by accompanied by a parent.
Can you tell me if my products are good?
The cosmetic world is saturated with all kinds of products. I can't keep up! I use products in my facials that I use, love and stand by. I can look at ingredient lists with you, can discuss what may work with your skin type, but I do not like to discourage or push products.
What is the difference between a brow tint and brow lamination?
A brow tint is a temporary color tint of the hair. This may last a few weeks depending on care. Brow lamination is a brow perm. It redirects your hair growth to stand up instead of combed down. This gives a fuller "boyfriend brow" look.
What is your favorite service?
I love a dermaplane with an added enzyme or peel. Not only is it fun for me to be a chemist creating a cocktail peel blend for you, but it's extremely gentle with amazingly glowing results.
What is RF/EMS?
The radio frequency machine uses thermal technology at a high frequency of RF waves at 1,000,000 vibrations per second combined with the low frequency electrical current of EMS for muscle stimulation simultaneously to lift, firm, and tighten the skin while aiding the ability to produce collagen and elastin.
Can anybody use it?
Contraindications include pregnancy and breastfeeding, HIVE/AIDS, Cancer, Immunodeficiency, Lupus, high blood pressure, Diabetes, Keloid scarring, open wounds, vein inflammation, steroid medications, sunburn, cardiac pacemaker, epilepsy, metal plates and peircings.
Does it hurt?
The thermal technology does make a warm sensation, but not enough to burn the skin. The EMS creates muscle contractions which isn't uncomfortable, just an odd feeling (like twitching!)
What's the LED therapy hype?
LED therapy is the use of lights that penetrate to the deeper layers of the skin and target skin concerns. (For example blue light is used for killing acne bacteria, red light stimulated collagen..). I love this because almost anyone can use it and it targets concerns from beneath the surface.
What's that vibrating thing you use for extractions?
The skin scrubber uses ultrasonic waves or vibrations are used to "jiggle out" or loosen and remove dirt, oil, and cellular debris from your pores. It is also used for increasing blood circulation, having products penetrate deeper, and muscle toning.
Why did you put the high frequency in my hair?
High frequency stimulates circulation, hair growth, and clean the scalp from dry itchy skin and dandruff. Plus its super relaxing, so why not?!
Why don't you have Hydrafacials?
A hydrafacial is a wet microdermabrasion. I enjoy my Diamond Tip just fine. Also a real Hydrafacial machine is far too large to fit in the bus and most definitely too expensive to be bouncing around in there too. But if you find someone that does them, get one! They're wonderful!
Whats a chemical peel for?
Remember that when your skin cells create new cells, they make a carbon copy of the old cell. A chemical peel exfoliates the top layer of skin while also promoting growth of a new, healthier cell.
Will the chemical peel hurt?
During a peel there is a tingly/stinging feeling. A fan is given to help reduce this. There is a 5-7 day "downtime" period during which you will see your skin flake. Depending on the intensity and strength of your skin, you may not peel whatsoever. The peeling process varies from person to person.
Can anyone get a chemical peel?
Anyone who has used Accutane within the last 6 months, Keratolytics (Retin A/Renova, Azelex, Tazorac, Differin) in the last 7 days, using Hydrocortisone, have any known allergies to ingredients or aspirin, or being treated for any skin or autoimmune disease, Rosacea, sunburned, pregnant, has open sores or broken skin, diabetic, or has had recent cosmetic injections or surgery will be denied this service.
Why is the jelly mask so popular?
The jelly mask is made of algae and electrolytes so instead of pulling toxins to the surface (like clay masks), it is pushing in hydration making your skin feel soft and plump instead of dry and tight. It's great for all skin types, even sensitive. It also smells heavenly.
Where is your product shelf?
I have a few products for resale, mostly my favorites. I do not stock up on full product lines due to lack of shelving (because of the mobile movements) and changes in outdoor temperatures that may affect the ingredients from being stored in the bus. Everything is brought inside at end of day because of this. I can always put in a custom order for you though.
What kind of wax do you use?
It is a creamy soft wax formulated to remove light to course hair gentle enough for even the most sensitive skin types. I also use a hard wax made for hypersensitive skin free of rosins, parabins, colorants, or perfumes.
Is it going to hurt?
Waxing pulls the hair out by the root, so some discomfort can be expected, but everyone’s threshold for pain is different. However, with professional technique, and after routine visits, the discomfort will lessen each time. By staying on a hair removal schedule, less hair grows back, meaning less discomfort for you.
What are the best tips to reduce pain?
An over-the-counter pain reliever 30 minutes prior, remembering to breathe, no hibernating during the winter season
How long must it grow out?
¼ of an inch or the length of a grain of rice; 4-6 weeks of growth
Can I trim before I come in?
NO if need be, I will trim. That way, hairs aren’t trimmed too short resulting in uneven removal.
Can I get waxed when pregnant?
YES It is completely safe. Due to hormones, you may be a little more sensitive and your hair may be growing at a faster rate. Any concerns should always be discussed with your doctor.
Can I get waxed while menstruating?
YES, but a tampon must be worn
